Unlike a phone, it doesn’t have a fragile screen– why put it in a case? That was about 8 months ago, it was straight out of the box and still looked good. As much as I enjoyed using this nice piece of tech from Apple, the case took a beat and now looks bad. No, it looks horrible.
I’ve got some really ugly scratches all over the case. This gave way to discoloration and I had to constantly wipe it clean. I took great care of it and I’m very sure I never dropped the AirPods case all these while. Just putting it on the table and sometimes sliding it into my pocket caused those scratches.
I decided to look around on Amazon and finally settled for a silicone case from PodSkinz.
There are lots of product like this, some even include skins for the AirPods. But I went for this one in particular because I’ve seen it before and I love how it feels. Besides, I don’t need to skin the AirPods.
It’s got a really soft feel to it. The texture feels really smooth. And if you care to know, it’s made of silicone and I think it should be able to act as a cushion if you happen to drop your AirPods. One thing you may not like about it is the logo they put on the back. I would’ve preferred it without the logo but I’m not really sure it’s an issue though. It’s not something I can’t live with.
But it’s certain the AirPods case is not going to slide out and hit the floor, I think that’s what matters most. It’s pretty snug. It fits perfectly and you have an opening at the bottom to insert your charger.
