It is quite possible to quickly provide a few more FPS with a simple Windows-side switch.
This is where Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling comes in, which is called HAGS in short. However, this switch is limited to only a few Nvidia Geforce cards. If present, it can be found in the Windows graphics settings. In any case, HAGS ensures that the graphics card can manage the video memory itself. This can save a bit of latency and this counts towards a better FPS value.

It can be annoying to experience a nearly full RAM bar. Unknown to a lot of gamers, the culprit might be one of those apps that automatically start running every time your turn on your computer. If you’re experiencing this, then the moment has come to finally eliminate unused and, above all, pointless applications from your computer. These applications can be easily managed from the Task Manager under “Autostart”. These applications can extend the startup time and considerably slow down your computer.
Clicking the taskbar icon to reveal background processes is always a good idea if you take a smooth gaming experience very seriously. A lot of times, applications you left running in the background might be hogging your RAM and processing power.
Even worse, some of these apps may have active network connections and process updates, straddling the ping if you’re playing a multiplayer game like Call of Duty.
You should always disable the Windows apps that are secretly running in the background. Although some of these apps may be useful, unfortunately, this also results in them consuming resources unnecessarily. It is important that the Windows Game Mode is always activated on your PC for games. This ensures that any active game basically have the highest priority when it comes to the hardware load. In other words, other active processes are always given lower priority. To activate this setting, you only have to click on “Gaming” in the system settings.

Sitting in front of the PC for hours on end is a sin in itself, but at the same time, of course, it also depletes the oxygen in the room. This is never thought of, but oxygen is important. The brain functions with oxygen, and without sufficient supply, it simply becomes tired. A well-ventilated room with a sufficient supply of fresh air is very important.
We’ve mentioned the importance of taking regular breaks and proper ventilation for maximum oxygen supply, but there is one more thing gamers seem to overlook. While gaming tends to keep you at a spot for hours, the need to move around cannot be overemphasized.
Exercising is important and helps your overall health. It ensures that the blood circulation gets going again. A gaming chair can be as good as it is, but it can’t replace movement in the end. A short walk can work wonders here. The body is relieved, the blood is oxygenated, concentration is increased and the gamer feels renewed.
It may seem trivial, but even the healthiest body, trained and well nourished, will fail after a short time if it is not given enough sleep. Sleep is the key to a concentrated and successful game. Personal performance is much better the next day if you have had enough sleep and power nap in the afternoon can also be very helpful here.
