Pornographic Pictures On Facebook News Feed

Pornographic Pictures On Facebook News Feed

Wale Adekile
November 15, 2011

I’ve been seeing some really unusual and disturbing pictures on my Facebook news feed over the last 24 hours. Lots of pornographic pictures and really violent images have been showing on my news feed, and it’s rather embarrassing viewing Facebook and the person next to you thinks you’re viewing a porn site. I saw the first one earlier this morning and thought it would end there. Ever since, I’ve been seeing these pornographic pictures all day and it’s spreading even faster. It’s not just nude photos, I’ve seen pictures that are nothing but grossly ridicule lots of peoples’ beliefs.

You automatically get these kinds of posts showing on your news feed the moment any of your friends views and comments on the picture. This is clearly a security breach and I hope Facebook really gets something done really fast or it might get worse, and there’s a chance there would be long-term consequences if it continues. Facebook might also face sanctions as minors have been exposed to adult contents and I’ve even seen a couple of people on my friends list deactivating their Facebook accounts.

There are speculations that this virus spread or security breach was triggered by the Anonymous hacktivist group but no one has claimed responsibility yet.

How To Stop The Pornographic Pictures On Facebook

There’s no way to block these pictures from showing up on your news feed right now, the only thing you can do is take some security measures. Never comment on any of these pictures as this is aiding the spread. The moment you comment on it, your friend sees the comment and it goes on and on.

Also, if any of these nude pictures appear on your news feed, you can make Facebook better by reporting the photos so the Facebook team could remove them.

I got a really disgusting video in my inbox like a week ago from a friend. The title says “99% can’t watch this for 15 seconds” or something like that. I can’t remember the title precisely, but if you see something like this, do not open it. It’s a Facebook virus being spread around.

Do not follow suspicious links as well.

One more thing, if you get a notification or message that a friend reported you for offensive behavior, do not open it, just ignore this.

It’s turning to a really crazy place and I see myself moving over to Google Plus finally if this continues for too long. Please share this on Facebook!
