
I do receive guest posts and one thing I really don't like is sending traffic away from my blog with the links in author's bio. You might have probably noticed that Wordpress normally strips off target="_blank" and other HTML attributes from author's bio. I don't know why it's so but I can only assume it's a way to stop guest authors and contributors from using HTML codes that can mess up your blog's design.The only HTML tag you can use by default is the link attribute. There was even a pressing need to use rel="author" in my author's bio when I was trying to verify authorship with google.
