I do work on my computer a lot and sometimes, I love listening to songs on Youtube to keep me from getting bored. Like today, I think I’ve been playing Melanie Fiona’s 4 am for like 4 hours non-stop. Switching back to the Youtube tab to play the song again while working is rather boring and wastes my precious time but I found out ways to loop the song without doing that. I don’t need to hit the replay button button on Youtube because I’ve automatically set the track to repeat. There are several ways to set your song to repeat automatically on youtube.
1. Firefox Addon
As you know, there’s an addon for almost anything you want to accomplish online with Firefox, my favourite web browser. YouTube Auto Replay is what I personally use and it lets you set favorite song to play repeatedly.
As shown above, the addon lets you loop the whole song or just a part of it.Just install the addon, restart your browser and you should see a Replay button below every Youtube video.
2. Google Chrome Addon
Just like the Firefox addon above, this Google Chrome extension also lets you play a video repeatedly.
After installing the extension, you should see the Repeat option at the top-right corner of the video.
3. Using a Simple Javascript
If you don’t like browser addons, there’s a bookmarklet that lets you loop Youtube videos non-stop. It’s similar to the one I posted some days back for downloading Youtube videos and works smoothly on Firefox and Google Chrome. See the bookmarklet below?
Click the link above, hold and drag to your bookmarks toolbar.
Anytime you’re viewing a video you wish to loop, you only need to click to click on the bookmarklet you dragged to your toolbar. A loop button should appear right underneath the video.
That’s just how the loop button should appear and clicking it makes the video play til eternity.
4. Using Greasemonkey Script
Greasemonkey is a Firefox addon that lets you control how web pages behave using javascript. To use this script, you have to first install Greasemonkey, then install this script. It automatically adds a loop button below every Youtube video exactly as show above.
5. YoutubeRepeat
Another trick is to tweak your URL by adding repeat. How? While you’re on the video page, check the address bar and right before youtube, add repeat as shown below:
Hit on your keyboard and a new page loads, playing the video over and over again. This actually takes you to another site offering the service but not affiliated with Youtube in anyway.
6. YoutubeRepeater
This is similar to the one above, you only need to visit the video page, and add repeater after youtube as shown in the screenshot below and hit Enter:
The new page that loads is another website offering the service, looping you youtube video. There’s an option to loop either the entire video or just a part of it.
This is a site that lets you play your Youtube video continiously. You only need to input the video URL in space provided. Other sites offering similar iclude:
8. TubeReplay
9. YoutubeLoop
10. Yourepeat
I prefer using Firefox addons and scripts instead of using third party services because I won’t be navigating from Youtube in anyway. Using these sites take you away from Youtube but the method you use is a matter of choice.
