There seems to be a healthy competition going on in between Nigerian mobile operators as we’ve witnessed a drop in internet tariffs over the last couple of months. Glo set it off by offering 200MB of data for just a thousand naira and MTN responded with a slash in its tariff, offering 250MB for 1,300 naira. The table below shows MTN mobile data plan as at October 2011.

The data plan look pretty cheap but it’s not good enough if you ask me. 1MB can go for just 1 naira, don’t you think?

This blog has some really amazing content…..Am Ugandan and Own a Blog : http://www.paulkin360.blogspot.com Am an active blogger and am really inspired by the content you provide. Keep Up the Good work.
MTN has finally gotten competitive and freeing their stingy hands a bit. Although, these plans are still not attractive to me when compared to that of other networks but at least, it’s a good step in the right direction. What about the New MTN hourly plans, don’t you have a post on that?. That plan is really hot especially for chronic download freaks.
Thanks for the comment, Steve. I’ll come up with an update on that.
Why is it only MTN that gives 100mb for #1000 while other networks gives 200mb for #1000. Many people are not happy and really complaining.
