Are you wondering how many google adsense ads are alllowed per page? Google clearly states the number of ad units allowed per page but a lot of people never took the time to read through the terms of service when signing up. I was using two adsense for mobile unit per page on the mobile version of this blog not knowing I was breaking the rule. I came across one of google’s help articles on adsense guidelines which clearly states that I was going against the big ‘G’ golden rules.
When you add more than three adsense for content units on a web page, only three are shown and the rest won’t be displayed automatically but the case is different with mobile web. The other ads will still show up even when you’ve exceeded the limit.
Google Adsense For Content – You’re allowed to show a maximum of three ad units per page
Link Units – You’re also allowed to display a maximum of three link units per page
Adsense for search – Only two search forms are allowed. Anything more than that is clearly going against the terms of service
Adsense for mobile – Only one adsense for mobile unit is allowed on a mobile web page. There are two types of adsense for mobile unit: single and double unit. It’s allowed to put the single unit anywhere on your web page but it’s clearly stated that if you’re going to use the double unit, it must be placed at the bottom of the page.
Placing more than the allowed ads per page attracts a ban and there’s no excuse even if you didn’t know.

There are few different ways you can show more than 3 AdSense Ads units per page without violating any AdSense policies:
1. Become a premium publisher
2. Use DoubleClick For Publishers to serve third party Ads and enable AdSense. You can find the steps to use this option here:

3. Use third party ad networks which serve AdSense Ads.
Does that mean you can have 6? 3 text and 3 adds?

wait, so with the google adsense for content and google adsense link combined you can have a total of 6 ads on your website, 3 for content and 3 for link, is it allowed?

Yes, that’s right, James. That’s just how it is.
I think No, On my blog home page… I have two ads for content and display both.
On inside single post, I have two ads for content and two ads for link but is display only three ads (one for content and two for links….. 4th ad shows blank) so I think content+link =3 allowed total.
As you can see here, I have 3 content units, one link unit; that’s four in all. I can still add two more links if I want.

That mail is probably a mistake or something. The method is automated so, there’s bound to be hitches once in a while. You can’t use four.

I don’t understand how you know how many ads you have per mobile? I have 3 on my site, a banner, upper right side bar, and under the post. Is that legal?
The number of google adsense for content unit shown on your mobile phone should not be confused the number of adsense for mobile unit. So far you have only 2 MOBILE AD UNITS, its ok. You can have Content units as well if your site isn’t optimized for mobile.

Yeah, any size. But you’re only allowed to use one 300 X 600 unit on a page, you can stuff a page with three of those. Of course, you can use it with two other units of different size(s).
That means only One 300 X 600 with other two units like one 300 X 250 + One link unit in whole page ? over all making three ads unit in page ?

Not totally correct. You’re only permitted to use one 300 x 600 ad unit along with two other smaller units. You’re not permitted to use 2 or 3 300 x 600 together on a page.

You can place three link units on a page but based on my observation, it looks like link units have low CPC. I’m using just one at the header as you can see and it seems to be performing well.

It’s either the site is a premium Adsense publisher (premium publishers can have more than three units) or using some other ad networks.
