Update Facebook Status With Animated Smilies And Text Effects

You’ve probably seen some of your facebook friends updating their status with smilies, right? Facebook doesn’t officially support animated smilies on status updates and you can’t even see the animations if you upload an animated .gif picture. Normally, you should only be able to use smilies on facebook chat but there are now ways to use them to update your status or post to a friend’s wall.

Some weeks back, I started seeing all sorts of funny status updates with moving pictures and I got curious till I was forced to ask some of my facebook friends how they did it. I then found out there are certain facebook applications basically made to add text effects and animations to make your status update exotic!

1. Cool Status – With cool status, you can add different emoticons and there are quite a lot to choose from. The smilies are categorized and the application is quite easy to use. This facebook app is quite cool just as the name suggests and it’s the most preferred. You can try it out and spice up your next status update with some funny and crazy animated emoticons.

2. Status Text Effect And Animations – this allows you to add special text characters and text effects to your facebook status updates. You can update your status with different text effects like italics, bold text and so on.

3. Animated Picture – I used this application and it rocks as well. There are lots of funny animated pictures to choose from and you can add an audio file link to even make a video. You can as well upload upload your own animated .gif picture without losing the animation.

4. Balikita Animated Pic – I toyed around with this application and found out you can even update your status with your own uploaded picture of flash image (swf).You can as well choose from the pre-defined ones.
