MTN Free Browsing on Opera Mini 6 Handler

These settings works for on MTN Nigeria network as at the time of posting:

APN – web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
Username – web
Password – web
IP Address – 010.199.212.002
Port – 8080

Alternatively, you can request for MTN default settings by sending settings to 38888 in a text message.

In case you use a java phone that won’t connect with MTN default settings, download this proxy file and actvate it as default in all applications. Clich here to learn more about proxy files.

Download MTN Prov file from Capriofiles

Download Cast Opera 6 from Capriofiles
Download Cast Opera 6 from Hotfile

Install Opera 6 and input the following settings:
Primary Server – http://82.145.208.68
Secondary Server – http://82.145.208.68

Proxy Type – host
Proxy Server – www.mtnonline.com
Front Query – 10.199.212.8@ (required for S40 phones)

Save and launch!
UPDATE – 04th August, 2011

Simply change www.mtnonline.com in the trick to www.mtnfootball.com and your free browsing cheat is back on track!

LATEST UPDATE – 10th September, 2011

Mtn free site ( www.mtnfootball.com ) seems to be having some DNS resolution problem. The free site resolves to 41.220.77.210 and you can use this in place of www.mtnfootball.com.

Use the new settings below:

Primary Server – http://82.145.208.68
Secondary Server – http://82.145.208.68
Proxy Type – host
Proxy Server – 41.220.77.210
Front Query – 10.199.212.8@ (required for S40 phones)

This settings work on Opera Handler 6, Opera 5 Handler and 4.2 handler as well.

LATEST UPDATE - 19th September, 2011

MTN’s recent upgrade rendered some old tricks useless. You can still use the one below however:

Proxy Server – wap.mtonlineplay.com
